While working behind the dash of a '68 convertible,
I noticed that all the dash insulation was missing,
presumably pulled off by rodents.
This material is brownish-rust colored and sort of
like a mat, but fluffier. It apparently was attached
to the inner dash above the heater duct, probably
with 3M spray adhesive.
There is also a layer of it beneath the shifter on top of
the transmission tunnel. It has deteriorated substantially
over the last 42 years and needs replacing as well.
Does anybody know where you can buy this stuff?
If I can't get any, I may try some sort of carpet underlayment.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Russ Trotter
