Midway USA chapter has it's first judging meet - video link included

    All,

Remember back to your first time...(not that first time)...the first time your local chapter judged Corvettes! Well the Midway USA chapter had our first offical judging meet last month and I can honestly say that we are still stoked.

Our resident IT guru Dale Green captured some video during the event and posted it on You Tube. (see link below) I think Dale did a great job, expecially considering this entire video was taken, created and published using his iPhone 4 cell phone.

    enjoy!

Looks like a great set up and location. Where was it held?

Davis Moore Chevrolet in Wichita KS is where we have our chapter meets and they graciously allowed us to hold the event in their back show room.

They have just been a fabulous supporter for us.

Wichita is a great city. I lived there for three years back in the old 70s/young 80s. Flew for a commuter airline called Air Midwest which was born in ICT.

I would go to more chapter meets if there was someone walking around playing a guitar and singing while the judging was taking place.

            Regards,

            Mark

              Hi Tracy,
              Thanks for the link!
It looks like a good location for some nice looking cars. Everyone appears to be enjoying themselves, too!
              Regards,

Air Midwest flew alot of Beech airplanes. Did you fly any? If so, then we have a connection as I've worked at Beech for 32 years.

BTW the guitar guy was expensive. We actually had more women at the meet but they were all flocked around him instead of the Corvettes.

I can't see the vid from work. Is this something like the naked cowboy?

I flew Swearingen Metroliners. It was like flying with a Skil saw at full speed next to each ear. That's why I can't hear **** today. I did fly King Airs out of Jabara for an air ambulance operation before I went over to Air Midwest. They were the old conventional tail 90 series.

I wouldn't attend any meets if he was the entertainment.
