Some interesting hot rod pictures with the article. Is Dale in them?
Looks like the term 'body-off' was in use even back then! (middle picture, first row).

Alan, Send me your Email address and I will send the rest of the pictures as they only used a few. All are from 1950 to 1953. One picture is a rear engined dragster that has a Ford flat head motor and a Judson military surplus supercharger. The car next to it has a 1951 New Mexico license plate on the front. Dale- Top

Thanks for the offer.
I was growing up in the East in the early fifties and learning about hot rods from the 'little' magazines of that era. The older boys in my neighborhood were building customs, but no hot rods that I knew of. I was fascinated with the pictures of cars being built in the driveway in the west, that's why the picture I mentioned caught my eye.
