66, TI, K-66 wire hook up.

I've been reviewing the hook up for the TI harness, coil & distributor on a 66 L72. I can't seem to find the proper wires in the engine harness to connect the cloth wrapped white wire & the pink wire that loops from the distributor thin white wire connector, both are from a 1966 TI harness. I have a black wire that comes through the fire wall near the distributor with the WSW motor wires but it is only hot with ign. sw. in acc. position. There is also the connectors for the heavy purple wires for the neutral safety sw. used on Powerglide cars. I'm afraid to apply any power until I'm sure of the connections. I have reviewed Dave Fiedler's web site on TI, plus The Restorer, my Svc manual & assembly manual & don't see a way to hook it up. It sounds like something so simple. What am I missing! Thanks in advance for any help.

    Glen,

Do you have the Doc Rebuild schematic for the car? I've heard it's very good and have been meaning to get my own.

Joe, Thanks for responding, No I don't have the Doc Rebuild schematic but I have one of the Lectric Limited schematics. Since I posted this, I have removed some of the tape wrapping on the harness & found the pink wire (that comes from the starter solenoid) cut off & not going anywhere. Apparently, some one had taken two of the TI harness wires & connected them directly to the black wire (hot in run position) coming from the ign. switch. Electrically both resistance wires had current flow anytime the ign. sw. was in the run position, (I think??) but never received the electrical boost when the starter was turning, or had the electrical boost all the time. I'm not sure which. What this would have done in the circuit, will have to be analyzed by someone who knows K66's better than I do. Any way I have a spark now. Thanks.
