C5 leather seat repair

Have one of the leather panels in my 2002 driver seat (lumbar panel leather I think
it is called) that has a gouge in it. Can just this one leather section be replaced since it is sewn in? And, where can the matching leather be purchased?

You'd be surprised what a good upholstery shop can do in the way of repairs. Ask at your local dealership who they use to do their repairs. It is most likely a local shop that comes in and does them. I would bet they could repair the leather so it was "nearly" invisible.

I believe the 02 lumbar panel is actually HD vinyl. Should be an easy fix !!

I had to have a panel replaced in a C6 seat and it was easy and inexpensive.
I used a local upholstery shop that does warranty work for dealers. He had samples from GM to match and then ordered a small piece.
Looks great. can not tell the difference.
Check a couple of places to have it done.
