    67 Sill plate screws help

Hi guys. While OJ'ing at the Nationals I was told that the sill plate screws should seat into the recess in the sill plate. I get that, and it makes sense, BUT I was also told that the head of the screw should be completely flat so it's flush and flat with the sill plate itself. However, the ones in my car, and the ones on cars I know are original, have rounded head screws. They still seat into the recess in the sill plate, but are domed/rounded on the top. I believe the screw is a #10 with a #8 head, but are they flat top or rounded/domed top??? Any help is ALWAYS appreciated....Thanks again...ARA

Caution Harry, 63 are different! (are you surprised)

A 9417945 was used for 63 - L64 for the 4 hole sill plate. The 9414(766) was used for the 6 hole sill plate. Change was 3/27/64 under NPC 403. Believe the early screws were the same size however with a #10 head. Anyone have print of these?

Upon looking at seats in my 64 find the screw is #10 with #8 head in the bumper which should be same screw as sill. These too changed via the same NPC 403. Also a check of the sill screws believed to be original are also the #10 - #8 head So why the different part numbers??

The screw you are looking for is an oval head #10 jackson screw. Which is a #10 sheet metal thread with a #8 head.
