Advice on 67 BB Dewitts Radiator

I have a leaky radiator on my 390 car. It's actually a 66 radiator. I am replacing it soon, and called Dewitt's. I was told they have the direct fit amuminum radiator as well as a repro of the brass style. The aluminum radiator does not have the correct ribs on the side, no MK tag and no Harrison on it. The brass one does. I read the archive articles about how much better the cooling is on the aluminum ones, but I think I am going to lose a lot of points on the aluminum one with no MK tag, not the correct ribs on the sides and not Harrison logo. What do you guys think? I live in Florida by way....
Thanks for any help....I'm in a real pickle.....I want the best of both worlds (aluminum one that has the right ribs, etc)
    Thanks again

Ara, a properly maintained cooling system will have adequate cooling with the brass/copper radiator. If you are planning on having your car judged go with the brass/copper

The aluminum radiator does have more heat rejection capabilities, but does not judge well. I chose the aluminum radiator for our '72 bb w/ac just because the cooling on those cars is marginal.

To each his own, I installed the DeWitts Direct Fit Aluminum on my L71, wanted to make sure it never overheated again. The whole radiator and mounting section of chassis judging is only 25 points. I lost 20 for my radiator, no problems with Top Flight there.

Ara, I did this earlier on my 66 390 and the radiator is a jewell, and in & out should not take too long. Pull the fan shroud with your radiator, I did it alone in less that 2 hours, but it goes a lot faster if you have a helper on the other side with removal and re-install, again, put them in together.

          Piece of cake!

Thanks Ron, when I get it I will be jumping into it. I am prepping my car for Kissimmee (so long as I get into the meet) so I want to get this done soon so if there are any other issues I can tend to them as opposed to doing it last minute. Thanks for the well wishes and will let all know how it goes.

Make sure you ask them for the 67 version as there were a couple of holes that did not appear on the 66 that are in the 67, otherwise, you won't be able to tell the difference other than a safe cooling system.
