If someone can give me a hand here, I'll post the ending to chapter 34.
According to my research, the last 1961 Corvette was assembled on July 22, 1961 (10939). My '62 Vette has a T10-1C transmission assembled September 12, 1961 (final assembly 10/9/1961) coupled to a T10-7B tail shaft with a casting date of July 31, 1961, nine days after the last '61 rolled off the assembly line. Is it possible that an early '62 could have a 7B rather than a 7D assuming excess production would be used up? Or would there have been a "clean" cut-off with the very first '62s installed with 7Ds and the remaining 7Bs put in inventory as service replacements.
Got no deducts at Columbus...it was questioned and I had no answer.
Thanks as always.
