I have a 1972 convertible LT-1. How do I find out how many cars were built will the same options, colors and interior. Can someone direct me to a source of this information?

Re: How can I find out how rare my Corvette is?
There is no source for the information you seek. While records were kept for most model years of the number of each option installed and the number of each exterior color manufactured, there were no records kept of the number of cars built with each possible COMBINATION of options and color.
As I and others have mentioned many times here before, if you consider all of the available body styles, options, exterior colors and interiors available, the number of possible combinations, even considering that certain combinations were not available, far exceeds the number of cars built in any model year. As such, just about every car is unique or one of only a handful of cars with the exact same combination of body style, options, color, and interior. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Correctamundo Joe. If you want all this precise detail on a car, I would recommend buying a 60s or 70s Ford, then you get the exact info from the readily available Marti Report. GM was in the stone age when they built their cars.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Chevrolet built (405) LT-1 engine convertibles in 1972.
I have sent you an email.

]. In fact ALL 1972 options and exterior colors (as well as the interiors) are broken down by convertible or coupe.
