I am in need of some help. I have a 64 corvette that I just had changed over to power brakes. It is an original corvette booster (#7011 on tab 65-67) that I bought at Carlise before the repos came out and had it rebuilt and plated about six years ago (Booster Dewey )and has been sitting in my attic since. I just had it installed along with the 64 correct rebuilt and sleeved master cylinder with bleeder for PB and it worked great for about a week. The problem now is when I start the car in the morning (after it sets all night) and press on the brake pedal I hear all this air noise.( sounds like it is coming from under the dash) I still have good pedal preasure but power brakes are not working untill the car warms up about three miniutes later. Than it works fine the rest of the day even when it is shut off and on for long periods. I changed the check valve but still have the same problem. Do you think the booster is at falut ? Is there any way to check it for a internal leak? I checked around the outside but found nothing leaking. If it is bad who would you recomend sending it to for a rebuild? Are the repos any good? Is there a differance in them? I see some state they are Made in USA. There are all differant price ranges out there. The car is not a NM car but I would like a quality part ! My take on parts in the past has been nothing beats an original part. Any help would be great. Thanks. David Lange #41450
