3969926 (B70) fan blade on eBay

Just type in that description on eBay and there is a BIN for $800 plus shipping. I have no affiliation with the seller or part----just passing it on.

I agree that the price is high but on the other hand try to find one dated that early for an AC equipped 1970 Corvette LS-5. I found mine, also a B70, on the Corvette Forum about four years ago. Luck had it that I had just logged on almost immediately after the seller posted the ad so I was the first responder. I think I paid $275 including shipping and I sold the G70 fan blade to a friend in Houston. My 1970 Corvette's engine was built in March 1970. But $860 is quite stiff whether on drugs or not. It probably won't sell so the seller might back off and start at a lower price with a reserve. The reserve won't be met so it may go for as low as $500 eventually. And interested parties can probably contact the seller to try to negotiate. Even at $500 plus shipping would make me balk.

        Scott,

        all great points...

I kind of look at the points loss/gain for the dollars. You will not loose (IMHO) enough points to justify $800. The service replacement 7 blade works just fine and you can grab those for $50 - $100.

If you can get a tipped fan for $200-$300 that would certainly be okay. It would look the part and function as designed. The date is a "teeney" piece of the points for that one part. So if it was wrong - no biggy.
At least the engine compartment would look correct when the hood is open.

In the big picture, not having that fan won't cost you a Top Flight if everything else is REAL nice on the car.
