Ralph------
I presume you're referring to the narrow little black and white labels that slipped into the holders on parts shelves at GM dealerships. The vast majority of the labels are probably for non-Corvette parts.
I have often gotten these labels when I purchased an obsolete item out of dealer stock since they don't need them anymore. I usually leave them with the part. However, going through a set of these labels and "re-uniting" them with parts in a collection would be a real challenge. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Chevrolet Parts dept. shelf labels
That must have been quite an effort if there were a lot of labels in the box. How did you determine which were Corvette parts? Did you cross-check each label's part and group number to a Corvette P&A catalog? Did you include C4 parts in the check? In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
