'68 Master Cyclinder

I have a '68 built in mid December '67. It has a standard master cylinder. I purchased a YA tag for the rear bail as per the judging manual. My question - where on the rear bail does the tag go, on the top, or on the sides (inboard or outboard?) Thanks

Brian -

I like them on the inboard side - they don't get damaged when the bail is moved like they do when they're on top.

Unless you can figure out how to stick it to the wire bail permanently it will move from the top to the side -- whichever side you put it on. Air currents inside the engine bay dictate where it goes. Heat keeps it from sticking to the bail. And lastly I can guarantee you no C3 judge worth his T-shirt gives a rats patootie which side it is on. Now those 1967 guys -- that's another story.

Don't feel bad though -- this is the third post I can remember with the same question -- and I have NCRS disease big time.
