You sound alot like Roy Ester..He says I need to crank up the motivation! You're both right and I am. Still room for improvement though.
BTW, you left out some of the facts. In that same 2 year span, you slammed a Willy and a 57 shoebox Black Widow clone together....and probably something else we don't know about.
Yer kill'in me

From an aesthetic standpoint, I don't think you can beat blackwalls and the OE wheelcovers.
If you ordered RPO 276 wheels weren't they painted body color?
Blackwalls on black 276 wheels with the dog dish hubcaps are okay, but red wheels on a black car...?
I hope it doesn't now have whitewalls.

Love the cover but I do have one question for Dr. Mike. Why doesn't that '4520 unit on the gorgeous cover have an identification tag riveted to the plenum? Now I realize early early '4360's didn't have the tag but the unit on the cover is definitely a 7014520. Right??? Love the blue element on the cover photo. Great job Vinnie.Last edited by John D.; September 24, 2010, 12:40 PM.- Top

I photographed the car at the regional in Marlboro, MA in 2008...extracted it from the background and had to take out most of the lights that were reflected on the hood and fenders...some huge splotches of white light reflection as well as other small ones...anyway...then had to photograph an NCRS license plate and get it close to the same angle and replace Mike's Maryland plate...but had to leave the attaching screws...
Then I got the fuel unit poster from John DeGregory...it was on a red background and the entire fuel unit had a red tint to it...took multiple photos of it and had to extract it from the background and also eliminate all the red tint on the entire unit...it gets better...it had a reproduction air cleaner...black gasket and light tan paper element...so, naturally my 2 best buddies...Mikey and Dennis said that won't do...any old timer will know it's a repop...so I first started to try to change the color of the gasket to blue...AND the paper element to the darker brown...zooming in to over 600% I started trying to color the paper element without disturbing the screening...lots of work...and I thought it looked terrible...so then the MAC Chapter had a judging school at KC Strawmyre's place in Feb...so I went there and Mike brought his original filter and I did a photo shoot of over 100 photos from all different angles as it sat on top of a cardboard box...ok...had the original filter...but wait...the angle just wasn't 100% correct so had to transform it to a 3d object in Photoshop and place it over the original one that was on the poster...then erase the original repop...but wait...for the photoshoot, Mike's air filter didn't have the stud or the wing nut...so had to use those from the poster photo and align everything as best as possible at the correct place/angle...all in all about 60 hrs of work just on the cover...and it's as close as I could get to the one in Mike's car...not perfect...but close...and John....thanks for the poster once again and comments...only very few members would have picked up on the minor differences...- Top

Vinne,
Wow, just read your post on what you went through to create the cover and wanted to say a big thank you for all your efforts.
I haven't received my issue yet but the photo posted here looks great!
Thanks again.
