    Early '72 wiring diagram

A week or so ago I started a thread about my inoperable seatbelt warning light timer in my October '71 build car. Unbelievably a guy was parting out a '72 about a half mile away and I was able to get one. I installed it last night and didn't have any success with it. It checks out with an ohm meter but doesn't function.

My question is this, are there any wiring diagrams available that show the circuit for this seatbelt timer circuit? I have several wiring diagrams in books as well as a Lectric Limited wall diagram and they all reflect the late '72 warning system.

Any help is appresciated even if you don't have a diagram but have an understanding of how the circuit works and where the wires go. Thanks!!

It would be a little tough to chase, but the '72 Chevrolet Service manual has the electrical schematic for Corvette, on Page 12-93. The service manual should represent an early version. I looked in my files for a wiring print, but no dice.

I have a new reprint of the manual but it is exactly the same as the Lectric limited diagram I have. Even the colors of the wires are different. In fact the AIM lists the wire colors for most of the lights on the guage cluster but the colors are for the seatbelt light were left out. The last time I had the cluster out I noted that the wires on that bulb were pink and green. As it turns out the colors of the wires on the timer are also pink and green. Perhaps this will trigger a memory for someone.

      Thanks!!!

Thanks, But none of the diagrams differentiate and early or late build, neither does his listing for the color oOSOEZ diagrams.

Does anyone have one that could check to see if the thermal timer is included in it? The timer has a green and a pink wire on it if it helps. I don't mind buying another diagram but I'd rather not buy another that is not correct for my car, I already have seveal of those. Thanks!!
