Get on the waiting list at the host hotel quick if you can. Lot of cancellations occur. Vinnie Peters had another place close by that he said was nice and reasonable.

I just reserved a suite at the Royal Park Suites. It's close to the host hotel. Rooms are pretty reasonable. Tele. 407/396-8040.

Just reserved a room at the Seralago (only $44 for a regular room). Decent and walkable from the field.

Stayed at Seralago last year, decent place at a great price.
Short walk to the meet.

I got a room across the street at the Super 8. Fidge & Microwave in room with a grocery store right behind it. It is just across the street from Old Town and very reasonable rates. I stayed there in January 2009 and very very happy with the room. I got an extra discount on the room as I am staying the following three days after the NCRS Regional for the SACC (Straight Axle Corvette Club) Convention. Google Super 8 Maingate to find it! See you in January!

There are many many hotels/motels along 192 in the area near Old Town and, believe me, they will certainly appreciate your business. We get the weekly Osceolo Newspaper and they had a story this week on how all their tourist businesses are hurting this year, what with the economy and the ramifications of the Gulf oil spill. I'm sure there are lots of rooms and good deals to be had.

Check with the guys from the Louisiana chapter. They normally have extra rooms at the host hotel.
