67 air cleaner filter element

I just bought a repop ($$) filter element for my 67 327. It looks correct, but there is a small (1") blotch of green ink on the inside that soaked through and can be seen on the outside. I've never heard of this, and am wondering if this is correct too? Thanks.

Sounds like some sort of inspection mark to me...don't think it would help (or hurt) much in a judging situation..... a repop is a repop...

Ken, details? Or post a picture, I don't recognize that, especially if it is a a212cw...
