My brother in-law is interested in convering his '64 to disk brakes. I recently found a '72 being parted out via google and it turns out to be a bout a 15 min. walk from my house, go figure. I was looking for something formy '72 and found it, pretty lucky. The car has been pretty well picked through and sadly the guy doing it isn't aware of some of the parts' value. His loss though. Anyway, can ,72 spindles be fitted to a '64 without major issues?

They can be installed on the car but they will result in changing the suspension geometry. There's a slight difference in the spindle shaft vertical location on the 63-67 versus 68-82 spindles. Just how much of a problem this would be, I do not know since I've never done it.
If I were converting a 63-64 to disc brakes, I'd want to use the 65-67 front spindle. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Spindle conversion??
It's an idea my brother in law has been kicking around for years and being as I can get these spindles on the cheap I thought I'd ask.
Joe, you mention the difference in the vertical location of the spindle shaft. Will it raise or lower the car? And are there any other differences like kingpin inclination, taper of the ball joints or overall spindle height?- Top

I believe it will lower the car, but I'm not 100% sure.
The only differences in the front suspension for a C2 versus C3 are the spindles, steering arms, and springs. All other parts are the same. I do not know if the overall spindle height is the same but I expect that it is.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
