    How Rare is my car

I recently picked up a car that I think is pretty special but unsure just how special.

Its a convertable 67 427/400 hp. with the powergluide A/T the car has factory air, Factory side exhaust, PB,PS,PW, tele. scoping steering, tinted windows, both tops , All numbers match and have been verified. It does not have the gas tank sticker and its the Goodwood green with white top and black non leather interior.

I know the cars is one of 207 made with the engine and A/T but I can't figure out just how low it goes with the list of those options.

Also I'm the 3rd owner with 38,530 original miles. I know the previous owner but can't track down the first owner. I really think the car was delivered to Fl. just because of the option or a women bought it. any thoughts on how to find out the first owner?

John, Your title asks one question and the text another - if you use the search button, you probably will find threads on how to find the back owners.

Given the numbers of options available, almost any Corvette can be made into a "1 of X" number, with X being under 10. No direct numbers were kept of option combinations, so most "1 of X" numbers are pure conjecture and/or extrapolation.

Using the service that starts Oct 1 and is listed at the top of the Board, you can find out where it was originally delivered if you wish.

Yours, hopefully, is the only one with that VIN.

I would have to observe, however, that in the last 18 months, it seems like I've seen AT LEAST 207 offered for sale at auctions.....

                    Dave -

There's no way to know that.

                    1. There was no ECL assigned to the C60 & L68 combination.

                    2. All L68's had the "AA" ECL (no restrictions)

                    3. All we know for sure is that there were 207 units with L68 and M35 (Powerglide, M35AC ECL). Anything beyond that is someone's guesstimate.

I guess the number has never been confirmed. A few collectors have told me their range is 16 cars with 400hp, AC Convert.
