Re: 1972 ignition key buzzer switch
Hank,
Is it a GM7811093? If so Paragon has one #14852 at $50.00

There are members that rebuild GM steering columns and may have spares, that is how I
got the spring clip for mine. Good Luck.

Re: 1972 ignition key buzzer switch
be really careful what you buy.
The GM switches - that they say are for tilt/tel - are not long enough and are made from a completely different material. plus they are slightly fatter on the outward facing end.
I made this mistake - I had my original as a comparison and the ones that seem to be on ebay and other places are WRONG.
Your switch is made from a clear hard plastic (polycarbinate).
Take the time to look for the correct one.........- Top

Re: 1972 ignition key buzzer switch
Thanks to all for the good tips. Actually I found switches at Dr. Vette and at Corvette Steering. Found a local customer of Corvette Steering (Riks Corvette parts) in Morganton, NC and drove to pick one up today. Since I had the original part I compared carefully to the repro. At least dimensionally, they are an exact match. Haven't installed in the column yet but am optimistic for good results. I was told that several had been sold by Riks and all had worked. Thanks again.- Top
