      if the top 2 are diecast, then they'll work for 57's as well. the bottom three are like the one in my 57 pass car. mike

        Based on some recent research, my belief is that the top two are 57 after about VIN 2500. The botton three MAY be correct for 56 and early 57 cars.

        The 56 and 57 parts manual specify a different part number for this plate than the part number specified in the AIM. The 57 parts manual is dated March 1, 1957. The AIM page was redrawn on 5/13/57.

        1957 Parts Manual:
        53-57 CORV.........COVER, radio control hole........3707868

        1957 AIM:
        Sheet B 4.00 Cover.......3706916

        I don't suppose that there were any 53 to 55 Corvettes that were radio delete, were there?
