1960 7320 ?

Two questions for a 1960 7017320 FI unit. !. What do you recommend to seal the brass "T" into the main control diaphram cover? 2. The two thermostat housing pictures attached show: Housing A is larger font so is 59 - mid 60. Housing B is smaller font so it is late 60. Is this correct? Thanks for the help. Don H.

My '59 has the larger font.

Thanks for the reply Bill. I ended up using teflon tape on the fitting in the main control diaphram cover. I drove it about 100 miles today to a show & seems to be fine. Don H.

Don,

I recommend against Teflon tape, period. It shreds and always seems to get into places it doesn't belong.

Either screw the "T" fitting into the diaphragm cover dry or, if you feel some sealant is absolutely necessary, use a small amount of Teflon paste.

My '61 unit has the larger font and the numbers are sharp and fully formed. However, I do not know the history of this unit. It has been in storage for a long time and looks original but you never know for sure.
