I have a '67 L79 with a replacement Holley 3810. I am having flooding problems with it. When I took it apart to check the float levels, I noticed it did not have a "baffle plate" in the secondary bowl. This is the little plastic dohickey that goes around the needle and seat and keeps the gas from splashing around. There is one in the primary bowl, but not in the secondary. All the literature I have shows that there should be one in the secondary as well. I have three questions :
1. Should there be a baffle plate in the secondary float bowl?
2. If there is and it is missing, will it cause flooding problems?
3. If 2.) above is true, where can I get one? The local auto parts store thinks I have OCD, and Holley doesn't list it as available on their website and don't list a part number. I called their tech line, but a guy can only spend so much time on hold.
I want to make sure I have all the right parts before I go further with this.
