    '63 Parking Brake Switch

I am installing a new parking brake switch since mine was missing so I don't have a good 'Go By'. I checked the AIM and archives and found this :

'When installing the emergency light switch and the capacitor, position the switch so as the small slot on the bottom of the switch is in the tube at the rear of the tube.'

It confuses me a bit, so does the switch merely clamp over the outer housing (tube) such that the stop pin will keep the switch in the Off position? By the way, the parking brake is installed.

    Thanks in advance!

Correct. All the switch does is control the blinking bulb in the cluster to let you know it's engaged.

    Post a picture please.
