What constitutes a great TDB thread/post?

How about ideas including the following?

    1. Memories of Members who actually worked at St. Louis.

    2. Reprints of original Chevrolet documents.

    3. ? your thoughts ?

    4. ?? et cetera

    5. et cetera

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance

Perhaps we should look at number of posts for recent threads to see what people are most interested in.

A thread with 1 or 2 posts may not be that interesting; a thread with 50 plus posts might be real interesting.

    Just a thought....

A concise question with specific vehicle background information. This way only a few answers need be given w/o confusion.

Also calender year and model year are utilized to stop confusion. ie the motor block was built for 63 model year but built October '62.

I especially like factory photos and thoughts from GM workers back in the day.

I second that. Too many posts seeking advise on problems don't adequately describe the configuration, symptoms, what the owner has done so far to diagnose the problem, and, particularly with engine issues, whether the engine is OE equivalent or modified.

I think we will always get different levels of questions here based on the owner's experience. Many questions come from new owners who have little or no background on the cars or the NCRS process. Others come from seasoned veterans who know the history of thier cars and can help direct us to the root of the problem or issue.

The best part about this board is consistent good information and a strong willingness to help. A feature not often found on public boards.

I'm always a big fan of the photos of original cars and parts. I would love to see side by side pictures of original versus reproduction parts and a detail of the differences. I know it would be hard to do, but that would be great for me !!

Of course, any post by John Z or any of the guys who were really "there and did that" are my favorites.

Overall, I am happy with this place and plan to continue to contribute to the best of my ability !!
