1965 gauge cluster rear markings Ques #2

Wayne was kind to reply to my first Thread with picture of the LB sticker on back of a cluster

    Question#2

I have 3 digit number on top iwritten in ink nside edge of gauge cluster that I have been told is the assembly date . Do they mean the assembly date of the gauge cluster itself or the car assembly date. Or does the numberr mean something else

Also theb picture wayne sent me of the LB sticker as he indicated does not seem to indicate that motor is 365hp carb . Wayne indicates same LB sticker for L76, L84 and L78

Does this mean nothing on back of cluster to indicate 365hp carb engine.

The cluster itself has the 80lb oil gauge and high red line tach with correct date codes but would be nice to have more since not origimnal engine in car andv first owner deceased

The car has no PS or Pb ; 4 speed with 4:11 rear end; no steering stabilzer ; smakll special pulley on left side of motor with extra belt; radio; tinted windoes; correct 365hp aluminum intake.

The second and third owners say they were positive it was 365hp carb but no pictures of motor.

The car was sucessfully drag rasced by first three owners at tracks in Kentucky (i.e. Beech Bend etc) . Car was 1965 Coupe Red exterior red interior vinyl

The owners still alive never kept any pictures of car being raced. It was consistent class winner in stock sports class

Second and third owners were Travis Woodward and Donnie Gardner from Louisville area

I would be most grateful for anyone who remebers car being raced in period March 1965 to June 1969 and would love to purchase photos or movies that show it

    Bill -

The cluster assembly date at AC Spark Plug is rubber ink-stamped on the back of the cluster "can". The same cluster was used by all three solid-lifter engines; it wasn't unique to the 365hp L-76.
