1967 Seat Belts

Were the seat belt buckle mounted with the web in a twist when clipped to the holder or was it in a twist when put on? It's a small thing but it has bugged me for a long time. I have certifed Corvettes both ways with no deduct for it.

Ken,
When you sit in the seat with the belt on it lays flat against your body and all the way back to the stud mount.

The belt will have a 90 degrees twist in it as it sits in the center holder because the holder is at right angles to the seat belt anchor on the floor stud.

Thanks that is what I thouht also. I have ask others & they look at me like I am nuts. Most of the 67'S that were restored had the belt flush facing the center holder.
