What all papers, tags, instructions, etc should my 1964 (VIN # 1971), triple black convertible, 375HP FI with KO wheels, positraction, tinted glass, power brakes, AM-FM radio have? Thanks

Bill, a list of many of those items are in the AIM, Sec 14 sheet A3.00
Note the jack board stuff will also be different for KO and double check the rear 2 bolts holding the spare tire, they are special for KO. The AM/FM tag is in Sec U69 sheet 2.00 So no one spot where a paper list resides, I think.

Thanks for the input and forgive my ignorance, but what is "AIM"?

Alan, could you be be more specific about what is different about the two bolts on the spare tire. I'm trying to determine if my 64 coupe had factory KO. It currently has Repro's. Thanks, Dan

Dan, I believe the bolts are longer as the Al. KO is 6" wide whereas the steel is 5 1/2" wide, therefore more room is needed in the carrier.

The JG in the Exterior Section #19 shows the two different bolts, the KO are 9 5/8 long with welded nut. Also some info in Noland's page 108.

                AIM = Assembly Instruction Manual
It is a book of instructions the assembly line workers used to assemble your Corvette. There is a different one for each year (for the most part).

Billy, Takes years to learn all this stuff. The more you learn the less you know it seems.
Get involved with a good local NCRS chapter. Go to the judging schools and the tech seminars. Buy all the literature you can get. Most of it is available right hear from the Mortimyers. (home office)

The AIMS has a page on just what was in the glove box and what was shipped with the car.
Send nice questions to your team leader via email or SASE. Address in "The Restorer".
Go to the big shows and ask to be an observer judge. Get involved. Participate and I am sure you will be pleased. Trouble with the DB here is the same old questions get asked repeatedly. Try and use the search engine here to at the top of the page. Holler if you need anything.
64's are very hot right now. Have proof. Good luck, JD

I see you are into fuel cars. Your 64 FI car is finally quite popular. That's good news.

Yeah, I "shortened" the description. AM's doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as AIM's.

In normal conversation, you rarely hear anyone refer to "those books" as Assembly Instruction Manuals. It's usually just "Assembly Manuals".

They, along with the NCRS JG's are indispensable.

                      Where would I find AIM's for a 54, 57 and 64?

                      Thanks,
