do a search for A112HP they come up listed as for a Ford Bronco , I just picked up 4 sets myself.

    Best Regards, Dave.

How does that number compare to D112P?

      Re: Points on EBay

Per earlier discussions on points posted here....

The BW A112HP points are high performance 28-32oz spring tension points made by Standard parts

      exact same piece as:
      Echlin CS89
      Niehoff DR8P
      Blue Streak DR2371XP

Somewhere it was stated that they also were the equivalent of DR 112P but I seem to recall that someone had a question about that ,that maybe the DR112P had a lower spring tension.
Please feel free to correct me guys if I have misread info from the earlier threads.

      Best, Dave.

What particular applications are these points used in?

              Thanks

I believe all GM V-8 distributors w. external point adjustment
                (window distributor cap)

Correct. All of the above are functionally equivalent to the discontinued Delco D112P and have 28-32 oz. breaker arm tension, and they fit all Delco distributors that are otherwise fitted with the D106P 19-23 oz. breaker arm tension points.

I can buy the Borg Warner A112HP at Pep Boys, which is walking distance from my place. I don't know the price, but on small items like this, shipping usually eats up any difference in the seller's price and local purchase/sales tax.

These points were OE on some GM muscle car engines. They weren't released until about 1966 and were never OE on Corvette engines, but I recommend them for any engine with a redline over 5500 to avoid high-rev point bounce.

With a properly clearanced distributor, they are good for at least 7000 revs.

Duke, you are correct on the cost and availability picture. I don't need mine to rev to 5500, not stumbling at 2500 is the first step and the last part to be changed is the coil. Soon!
