    93 C4 power loss Hickup!

My 93 C4 has a unique problem,When the A/C is on the car tends to have a power loss hickup every ten to fifteen seconds. When the A/C is off the problem goes away.It seems like it starves for fuel during the the hickup. Also the Freon is good pressure is 50 pounds.Has anyone had a simular problem? thanks Harry.

Seems strange with just the AC on, but sounds like moisture in the opti spark ??? You checked that ??

you might watch the compressor to see if it is cycling in conjunction with the hiccups, it willo pull the engine down a little. it does cycle on/off but i don't recall the timing of the cycles.

Thanks for your imputs Tom and John,The Optispark could be the culpret. The cycling of the A/C? could it pull that much power off the Engine? I need to check further my trouble shooting Manual dose not have this problem in the Index. It feels like I take my foot off the pedal for a split second and back on again.Checked for any Engine Codes all clear.Weird! Harry.

There's an A/C pressure switch that detects line pressure that was known to be defective on these cars. Also if it's working and you're low on freon, then you'll get the hiccup you describe.
