    C3 Jack Handle

    I'm going to look for a jack handle for my '73 at Carlisle. The tech guide is not very specific in its description. As I remember there are one or two hole jack handles.

    Can someone describe the correct jack handle?

    Thanks, Chris

    With a quick search on the auction site;

    The handle is toward the bottom of the picture.

      Thanks Kevin, looks like one hole to me

      Does anyone know of any other details I should look for? Is there a date code? Manufacturer's stamp?

        Chris, I have never looked real close at my lug wrench for markings, but there is no date on them that I know of.The corvette lug wrench is unique to corvettes for quite a few years.the pic posted by Kevin is what you need.

            I need a jack and handle for my '72. And I've seen that ebay sellers ad for a long time now for various year jacks. I refuse to pay that kind of money for a jack. And it looks like plenty of others feel that way too!

              Ken,

              I saw them last year at Carlisle for around $10-$30, a much better buy!

              Would you like me to pick up one for you also?

                I just looked at the original jack handle for a late '73 (July 5th completion date). It's one holer. No date or markings were found but there is surface corrosion that could have obscured those details.

                  Late 70s jacks, maybe.

                  Dated early 70s jacks? Probably not. If I find one under $100 it's a rare day. I've been casually looking for a correctly dated - and reasonably priced - jack for my 71 and 72 for quite a while with no success.

                    Thanks for that info Mike......

                    Patrick, absolutely correct for an original jack. I was referencing the "jack handle". I did find a very nice original jack from a CF member a while back. They pop up now and then.

                        Would this one with only one hole be the same style for a '72?

                          Thanks Chris. But I'll be at Carlisle on Friday. I'm only about 2 hrs away in NJ. I'll start with the handle, but I'll probably have to sell the car to buy the jack! The sagging economy hasn't hit the cost of jacks yet I see.
