Cleaning Body of Carb

I'm in the process of trying to clean the outside of my carb. can someone please help me on what to use to clean this. Thanks

I recently had my carb rebuilt and refinished by a local guy who told me NOT to use carb cleaner on the body. He said it would ruin the finish. I would try a degreaser (like Simple Green) instead with a tooth brush. I was amazed at how my aluminum intake came up clean with this method.
