C1 Windshield sealant

What sealant was used at the factory to seal the windshield to its weatherstripping? Was it the yellow colored glue that was used on the other weatherstripping on the car or was it black? This is on a '61.

This is the sealant between the weatherstrip and the glass.

It's called out in the AIM as 'cement' with a GM PN but no further details are given. In my opinion, it's your call on what you use... If done right the bond agent is NOT externally visible, so apply sparingly.
