1962 Rocker panel NOS or Repro???

Hello,

Is there any way to tell of a 1962 rocker panel is NOS or a repro?

Any identifiable marks, such as molding flaws, etc?

I think the repros are lighter (thin metal). I can weigh one if needed.

I just weighed my original that was on the car and it was 1 lb 9oz ( and there is crap stuck on it).

The ?NOS? one in question weighed 1 lb 8oz.

They are both the same exact dimensions as far as I can tell, and the only difference and it may be just form being old, is the front and rear edges where it is rolled, is very slightly different. The ?NOS? one also has a "very very" thin line along the 3 fin up that looks like a mold mark.

Sounds like an NOS one. The wrinkles on service parts are known and documented to some extent on this site. Look for the word coined.

The reproduction one I have is mounted high on a wall. I will get to it tomorrow. I am guessing it's less than 1.1 LBS.
