'61 Master Cylinder
Should the master cylinder on a 1961 be painted with backout or left "natural"?

Page 73 of the 61/62 JG says it may be either. I have a very correct '61 and the master cylinder is raw casting. I also have the cast iron hex top filler cap, not plastic.
For what it's worth, as an observer judge for 61's I have never seen a painted one, but I have seen both cast iron and plastic caps.
