Reading the date stamp on a 62 soft top

    Hello,

I received my new soft top for my 1962 vette that was built the end of May 1962. When I look at the stamping line it shows AS-6 3 61. Is this telling me March 1961, and if so, that does not seem corect for a May 62 build. I did not see anything in the judging manual on this.

    Thanks,
    Tony

    Somebody did a oooops.

Likely should be March or April of 62. 3-61 would be outside the "typical" 6 month window.

Glass dating is an exception to the general 6-month rule covered by the Standard Deduction tables of the Judging Reference Manual. Even so, March 61 is outside that window for a May 62 built car...
