'66 Brake lights not working

Brake lights worked just a month ago and now they do not.

I checked the switch while in the car and had power to the orange (wire) terminal, but none at the white (wire) terminal.

I took the switch out and bench tested it and it had power coming out, so

I re-installed to find out the same problem...no power coming out.

I am baffled...any ideas? (FYI...I have replaced my signal flasher unit recently)

Short the wires together and see if the lights work. If they do, you know its the switch.
