Working on a '70 454/390, AC, 5-port washer. Engine out. A few vacuum lines with destinations I can't remember. Is there a publication that will illustrate either through diagrams or photos how I can reconnect? Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: Vacuum line diagrams/photos
Hi Paul,
Besides the Dr. R diagrams Edward suggested, I think you'll find the AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) has extensive drawings of the various vacuum hose routing in the engine compartment, at the headlights, and behind the dash.
The information is a bit difficult to decipher at some points but it's all really there.
The AIM for your 70 is available from the NCRS bookstore at an attractive price.
Good Luck!

Thanks Alan. Yesterday I tried DR rebuild but it wasn't much help (same true of other parts houses. As you suggested, I just ordered the AIM. Thanks again.Hi Paul,

Thanks Dick, but it's the vacuum lines I'm trying to unravel. I do have a wiring diagram. Sounds like the AIM publication will do the trick. Thanks again.- Top

Re: Vacuum line diagrams/photos
Paul, I'm not sure why Dr. Rebuild wasn't much help. Their vacuum hose illustration is excellent. I have personally used it on my 70s' restoration. They also offer a trouble shooting guide that covers all the components of the system.- Top

Re: Vacuum line diagrams/photos
Hi Paul,
I read in your post that you don't have the AIM. (I wasn't sure if you did or not when I first replied.) I think that when you get yours you'll be amazed at how much information, (beyond the vacuum diagrams), it contains for someone working on a car. They take a bit of reading and even a bit of detective work to use but contain an amazing amount of information. I like the 3 ring binder version because I often have 2 or 3 pages open at once. Right now I'm working on metal line frame clips and need to have the fuel and brake section open at the same time.
Check out the GM CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL too. It'll be a tremendous help too andis available at the NCRS store.
