1962 Wonder Bar Carb vs FI

In the "Custom Features for 1962" Chevrolet accessories price list there are different part numbers for the Wonder Bar radio with carb. (985138) or FI (985139). Can anyone tell me why ?

As an aside the price for that accessory then was $93.15

    Thanks

    John

I'll wager an educated guess, John. The catalog describes a service replacement radio 'kit'. The kit includes the various support items for the radio that the factory originally put on the car including the various RF suppression components. There were some minor differences in shielding grounding based on carb vs. FI engine configuration...

Wasn't the distributor ignition shielding different for carb vs. FI?

Only the top cover, which was completely different because the coil was on differennt sides, thus the bulge in the top shield for the coil was different.
This was also the case for 57-62 FI vs carb top shields.

I think that Jack is correct. JD
