    1964 Headliner

Guys, I am replacing my headliner in my 64 coupe. I have taken down all of the mouldings that hold it up, and can see that there is quite a bit of insulation underneath it. I got my replacement from Al Knoch and it is only about 3/8ths of an inch think, and no insulation. Was the insulation seperate from the headliner and I just need to seperate it??? Or was the original headliner just insuated well?? What's up??

Don, my 64 headliner was all one piece with the insulation attached. Hopefully no one 'glued' your old headliner in place to hold it up etc. Check archives for installation of repro head liners which are different from originals as you noticed.

Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!
