Who sells the most correct carpet?

I would like to replace carpet in my 1970 Corvette. Who sells the MOST correct carpet? Al Knock? Romeo Engineering?

I'll vote for Al, too. It has a very good (but not perfect) fit, and I did have to take off the dimmer pad for my May built 70. But overall it's very good.

As has been discussed many times Romeo can be hard to get a hold of, and can take a while to ship. And I've been told that the heel pad logo is so large that it draws the same deduction as having no logo.

I often judge interiors and have noticed that Romeo usually is cut short by the RH trans tunnel and the owners patch them there. AK did not have the correct heel pad configuration for a 71 when I went to buy carpet a few years ago.

My vote is for Al. Delivered promptly. No problem with communications. Quite the contrary.

I forgot to specify early or late 63 Convertible. They sent me a correction in 2 days. I couldn't ask for a better fit or a higher quality product.

Take a look at Auto Custom Carpet.....ACC. Have used their carpet on a couple of cars. About as correct as you'll find.

Where do we find contact information on ACC. I may be in the market soon and would like to know the latest evaluations as well. I had seat covers installed by Al at the winter meet and was very satisfied with the product, fit, and workmanship. I would hope the same would be true for his carpeting as I may deal with him again next January.

Take a look at Auto Custom Carpet.....ACC. Have used their carpet on a couple of cars. About as correct as you'll find.

I see by their website Auto Custom Carpet is offering 20%off orders by Aug.31. You can get same (I'm assuming it is the same)from Corvette America, whose supplier is ACC, for less than the 20% off price from ACC.

I've used ACC and have been very pleased. The carpet fit perfectly in my '60 and was an easy install. The one time I had the car judged after carpet installation, there were no deductions attributable to the carpet.

For years I sold ACC carpet (several hundred sets) and thought they had the best quality, but in the last year or two, the carpet that I have seen from AK seems to have a better fit and material.

Hi Jim,
I bought the carpet for my 71 from Romeo. He was a trip to deal with but I did get my carpet.
I felt the sample I got from him was the most like my original carpet. The others seemed a bit TOO nice; too thick, and in my case too black.
My heel pad and dimmer pad were in very good condition so I moved them from the old carpet to the new.
