    67 Cig. Lighter

    HI,

The lighter element in my 67 is incorrect. What I need to know is how the element is attached to the knob? does it screw on or does it press into place?

    Thanks Peter

    Peter -

The element assembly screws onto a threaded shaft that's part of the knob.

If the knob is 'stubborn' in not wanting to un-thread from the element, push the knob in while the element/knob assy is in your hand. The element will extend from the surrounding ash guard allowing you to grab it. When you have it held firmly, unscrew the knob and it ought to back out of the element nicely...
