Is this an Edelbrock Performer Manifold?

My '62 has an aluminum manifold on it, and an Edelbrock Carb. I'm assuming it's an "Edelbrock Performer" manifold, but it doesn't have any markings on it.

I attached test.jpg which is a picture of the intake manifold and carb.

My question is, if I put on a more correct manifold will the Edelbrock carb still work or will I need a stock Carter carb?

Also, if I go to a stock manifold will there be much of any reduction in performance over this aluminum one?

I guess my thinking on the stock manifold is, with the air cleaner on, the engine would look more "GM."

    Thanks!

There were a lot of Edelbrock small block Chevrolet, dual plane manifolds made and sold over the last 50 years, or so. This is either a Performer model or one of the earlier very similar manifolds which had no particular name embossed on them. Some early manifolds of the Performer model did not have that name embossed on them, either. You might find a 4 digit number embossed on either the top or bottom of the manifold and this will identify the particular model number. The names (e.g. "Performer") are pretty much a marketing sort of thing. I don't think the manifolds were really all that much different.

If you obtain an original manifold used for your application, assuming that your application was a 300 hp with a GM #3799349 manifold, your Edelbrock carb should fit ok. There will be some slight reduction in performance with the stock manifold but I doubt you'll notice it.
