Heater delete fittings for intake & water pump

My '56 is an original no heater car that I'm removing some slap dick late '60s heater core from.

I want to replace the nipples coming out of the intake and water pump for the heater hoses with whatever the factory screw in block offs would have been. I have no clue the size and thread pitch lol.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can purchase these? Hopefully NCRS correct.

    Thanks!

Alex, p. 77 of the new TIM & JG states "and engine heater hose connections use standard square head plumber pipe plugs, painted engine color (except silver on aluminum intake manifolds)." These plugs are available at hardwares and home supply stores. The same page describes the blockoff plates, fresh air hose, etc. and early '56 cars will have '55 heater.

Alex, I have seen various logos on the heater deletes on the 57 up FI cars. I have seen them with no logo, Just a "P" or just a "M".
Tim Mickey and I discussed this plug a few years ago. Consensus was that the assembly line used whatever was laying around for this plug as you see a lot of variations on them
Originals I have seen were all zinc or cad plated steel. Never saw one that was brass. They have a square on them so you can put them on with a big Crescent type wrench. Use some good Loctite or teflon paste (not my favorite) on the threads so you don't have a leak. John

Right John! I have a couple around here someplace and IIRC one has a "P", the other plain. There was/is remants of silver plating, cad or zinc, I don't know which.

              Great info guys! Thank you!

Turns out the one in the water pump was 1/2" but the one in the intake is smaller, I'll still need to figure out what size by trial and error I guess.

If anyone has originals laying around, I would love to buy them!
