I've got a chance at a '70 350 corvette engine. Seems to maybe be a good engine with new valves/springs, gaskets, timing chain, etc. Have not seen it yet so I can't confirm head-block numbers. Available for $650 (neg?). Thought it might be something to purchase at least for my future use or possibly reconnecting someone with their lost orig. block. Worth messing with?

Depends on whether the numbers/dates match your target car AND how much of an engine your're getting (pan? carb? Etc.).
The going rate for a 'builder' motor (350 SB) at the scrap yards these days is $100-200. So, you're paying $450-550 more than 'core' rates for this beastie...- Top
