    Stamp Pad verification

    L-72 for sale on -line. My intial reaction was that it looked correct but when I compared it to my own 66 V # 18672 born April 7th vs this one born April 12 the broach marks look to heavy, and to me the eights (8's) are wrong and very different from my Top Flight L-36, then again I'm no Al Grenning...

      I don't like the engine stamp, looks like it was done later with the head on,

      and the VIN looks a little like not stamped at the same time.

      but there are better experts on this...

      What listing, there are several I looked at the day before you posted this and I don't recall a single 427-425 that exuded confident originality...

          The vin doesn't look like it has the correct font.

              Assembly date looks better than the vin...wrong font ...(IMHO)
