    For all practical purposes, they're about equal. One would be "splitting hairs" to try to rate one over the other.

      The difference in power rating is three percent, which is about the range of production engine variation.

      If you took typical Flint-built examples, put them on a lab dyno and corrected the observed output to standard sea level conditions they would have very similar torque curves and close to 300 honest SAE gross horsepower in the mid-5000 range, which is about 270 net and 220 SAE corrected at the rear wheels.

      The advertised power ratings in that era where little more than ad copy.
