    rim dating "dumb luck"?

    I don't know if this is dumb luck or not so I'll ask...

    A few years ago I started looking for a dated set of rims for my 69 and as luck would have it a guy on ebay had four AZ rims, three were Dec 19-68 and one was a 75 vintage. It would have been nice to have four matching but I figured that three is better than none so I bought them. So now what would be the odds of finding another Dec 19-68 rim? Zero to none so I never bothered looking.

    Well a few weeks ago again on ebay a guy was selling two AZ rims, a Dec 19-68 and a Dec 20-68 so of couse I bought them so now I have full set of five!

    So my question is, is this a common date or was it just dumb luck on my part to find these two to complete my set?

      The only other guy I know who has that kind of luck goes to church numerous times each weekend.

          Well I haven't gone to church for a while now but maybe I should start again! Thanks Terry, it looks like I finally won one!

              i got lucky and had all 5 original wheels on my 70 but the only one that really counts is the spare. make sure you put your best one there.

                          I had 4 dated April 20 on my 70 LS5 and had been looking for about 6 months when I was glancing at ebay and found one for $60.
