1963 Jack Paint

I have looked in the archives but can not find an answer.

What shade in the black paint on a 63 jack, flat, semi-flat or gloss?

I put an LIC jack next to an original, physically they are the same but the LIC paint has a semi-flat appearance.

Harry, 5th edition says Gloss Black. A NOS 68 up jack I have used for reference is gloss black also. Bearing is bare and I am sure you know the deal on painting the lathe thread.
I have the NOS jack on my desk.(not for sale)
If a guy had some good semi-gloss paint that would probably appease the judges also. John

Yes - but by the supplier (Ausco), not at St. Louis.
