Is there something missing on this '82

My frend owns a nice # match '82 crossfire, he does have some question marks about his ditributor cap. He think that there is something missing on top of the cap, i don't know I do have a '65 .
Can anyone tell me if this is correct for his Vette?? See pics.

Well, he's missing the factory original RFI shield which is pretty common on older/driver cars.

The late era Shark RFI shield is NOT a stamped metal piece similar to what was used on earlier Corvettes. It's a kind of plastic 'tent' with metal foil screening on the inside.

The shield covered the distributor cap and the connecting plug wires. They were almost impossible to remove/replace without nicking/cutting the inside foil and were frequently discarded by prior owners as a 'non-essential' component...

Of course, there is the missing black distributor shielding/cover shown in Brian Graham's photo above. Additionally, there is a bar code sticker and an inspection tag which is missing from yours. See attached.
